History of brokerage
Founded in 1962 by Donald McGrath Senior, McGrath Realty has grown from a one-person office in Katonah into a full-service real estate and property management company with more than 100 professionals and three offices serving the Hudson Valley. For more than 60 years, McGrath Realty has earned a reputation as a leader in the real estate industry and is recognized as the Hudson Valley’s largest commercial land broker.
The company's success has been built over three generations of family leadership. The founder, Donald McGrath Senior, laid the foundation, and his sons, Kevin and Brian McGrath, upheld the family’s longstanding commitment to excellence in real estate. Kevin favored the commercial side of the business, while Brian focused on land and large estates. Together, they encompassed all aspects of the real estate market, and their experience greatly influenced those who joined the company. After Kevin McGrath's passing, his son, Ryan McGrath, became the Managing Partner in 2021, continuing the McGrath legacy into its third generation.
